Argh I think I’ve come into contact with something I’m allergic too (contact dermatitis?) my face is super itchy and reddish. Went to the doctor ‘cos yep its itchy, itchy, itchy and got prescribed some cortisone cream which actually relives the itching whilst it’s effects last… argh, argh double argh…

Well I watched that movie I got finally today. Meh everyone else who was at home didn’t get it. Theres so much more to the movie then the storyline alone. And yes the protagonist Michele ends up getting shot. They never actually inform you whether he dies or not, and I guess that’s up to the viewer. IMO I think he does and the scene where Filippo and Michele reach out for each other is probably a symbolic reversal of when Filippo thought he was dead and Michele was his guardian angel.

Anyways off to bed to read, then tomorrow bike ride for lunch…

Watched Day After Tomorrow today with some friends. Interesting movie in terms of climate change and all, though highly unlikely that such could ever occur over a period of 7 or so days. More like hundreds if not thousands of years. On which we could be in an ice age right now (undecided topic). Other than that catching up on my lack of reading… books people should read: A Long Way Down (good old dry humour), The Girl in Times Square, Rowing Without Oars. Meh and then I have to read HP 6 as well…

Okay a bit of random stupidity. Hybrid dogs that are specially bred result in very funny names imo. Labradoodle I can handle, but the names schnoodle, spoodle and groodle just make me laugh out loud. Imagine a conversation: ‘what kind of dog do you have’… ‘um I have a groodle’….

Bills, bills and more bills reads the life of the average uni student. The cost of living and cost of education has increased over the years with inflation and the average full time uni student works around 10 – 15 hours a week to earn enough money to survive (i.e. eat, buy textbooks, pay bills, fees etc). It’s kind of ironic really. We supposedly go to uni to get a better education, and yet many of us are working more hours then we go to uni for to fund that better education.

I got my uni results tonight/this morning. It’s weird ‘cos they publicise/tell us that they’ll be released at 5pm on the date, (as they always do each year), but release them at 12 midnight instead. Well they have for the last 3 semesters since they moved over to My Student Admin. So I went to bed at 10:30pm and when I woke up around midnight I had a squiz and woah behold they were online. Pretty stoked with the results. Strangely, my highest subject was my science subject which is heaps mad especially ‘cos it’s my non-IT elective and all. Even though in that exam I left alot of blanks where it asked for examples of plants. Other than that, apart from one subject which I thought I’d do a bit better (but still happy nonetheless), everything else is great. And back to sleep I go…

Woot, I finallyordered the DVD. The story is, when I was coming back to Sydney I was watching this really great foreign movie on the plane, however I missed the ending as the plane had to land so they had to turn in-flight entertainment off. I’ve had my eye out for this DVD for a while, and saw it on Amazon a few months back, but it wasn’t worth the trouble for shipping, conversion and everything else so I didn’t buy it (plus I would’ve preferred a region 4, PAL disc). Anyways the other day I decided to have a little search again, and woah behold, it’s set to be released here this coming Wednesday. So to cut along story shortm my mission is accomplished.

Argh my semi gripe for today, kinda related back to customer service. Actually this particular incident didn’t annoy me too much but it made me think whether the person was sane or not. So I went to the shops looking for that book I mentioned yesterday. I look in the bigger bookstore – say Store X and in the catalogue it says it’s a special order book. So I ask the guy at the counter, ‘If a book’s special order does that mean you can order it in for purchase?’ and he’s like ‘oh we’d have to check’ and I’m like ‘ok’. Now he checks and he tells me they’ve ordered 3 copies of the book but they don’t know when it’ll come in, so I’ll have to keep coming in to check in person. Also told me that if I ordered it, it’ll take alot longer. Now I don’t know what’s more inconvenient, ordering it and waiting a bit longer for it, or coming in every few days to see if I can find 1 of the 3 copies they ordered. Now I’m guessing because they only ordered 3 it’s not that mainstream (which it isn’t, apparently it’s the english translation version), which some may say would be good if they actually managed to sell the copies… So then I trapezed of to Store Y which I very rarely go to these days as it is *alot* smaller and does not stock much at all. I went to the sales person and asked them about the book, and they told me their on order but they haven’t arrived yet and if I gave them my details they’ll ring me when it comes in. Now what does one do in such a situation? It’s pretty obvious isn’t it. Sorry Store X, you’ve just lost a potential sale – actually make that a definitie sale…
