And I feel as if I am looking at the world from the bottom of a well

Lonely
And the only way to beat it is to bat it down

Oh all the days
That I have run
I sought to lose that cloud thats blacking out the sun
My train will come
Some one day soon
And when it comes Ill ride it bound from night to noon

Well well, looks like the rumour mill held true this time, and the iTunes store is now available in Australia. Now the big question is should I buy an iPod now, or wait till next year when they’ll more than likely release one with better video playback features? Well I guess that’s technology for you… changes so rapidly. On the upnote, they have the last The Hippos album they released after they broke up, so I’ll have to buy/download that one.

Well this evening went to see Pride and Prejudice with friends. The interesting point of the night, was when we were buying tickets, because we got upgraded to Gold Class for free. $11.20 for reclining chairs, free popcorn and free soft drink. Score. We came to the assumption this was because of either:
a) The cinema is trying to promote Gold Class by giving ‘target’ people a free taste of Gold Class in the hope they tell their friends
b) They had to give away upgrades for free so the people employed in the Gold Class section actually had work to do.

Nonetheless, it was really nice and definatley better than Hoyt’s La Premiere. For starters, drinks are served in glasses not plastic cups and the staff bring the drinks/popcorn out for you. If your wondering which cinema it is we went to, it’s Reading Cinemas at Rhodes.

Eeek I just took my first dose of oral cholera vaccine… and it tasted feral. Though I think it was the bicarb granules which gave it the weird taste. Next dose in 2 or so weeks, along with my other vaccination. Meh half my luggage will be filled with malaria tablets and the like as opposed to clothes!

A few thoughts for today (really the last few days)…

Don’t you hate it when people write replies but they don’t put commas in the right places? It makes it really difficult for the reader to determine what is actually being said. Secondly, public humiliation is wrong and from my perspective rude, especially so when it comes from someone who should know better. As an observer, I was actually dare I say disgusted/disappointed at the way things were handled.

Approximately 3 and a half weeks remain. A few years ago, 3 and a half weeks would have seemed like eternity to me, but now, it’s nothing. It’s like the equivalent of waking up tomorrow morning really. In fact, the last 3 years have gone by in a flash. Sure there were the moments – especially in the early part – when I had many moments of doubt, but now, everything is kind of I guess good? In a way I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I have a few plans up my sleeve, but my main goal on the horizon is to go RTW before I’m 30 on a year long sabbatical.
